Typos, Mistakes?

Hi, these might be some inadvertent mistakes...

Initiative on Skills table (Skills 7) has sunsign modifier Ahn/Ang/Nad +1, but on Glossdex 19 it says: "There is no astrological modifier."

On combat tables under Armor Protective Values if you add Ring & Cloth you should get B2 E6 P1 F4 S1 T5, but under Combinations Chart its listed as B3 E7 P2 F6 S1 T6. It seems that the Ring+Leather combination was accidentally used in its place. I believe this error extends down to the generic armor profiles. Under armor Light(I) a Ring half helm and Cloth cowl are giving B3 E7 P2 protection to skull (too high), the same protection value is given to Medium (A)armor whenever Ring+Cloth coincide and this might be found in other places too.

An asterisk (*) denotes that Point Aspect is optional and, if included, reduces basic Weapon Quality by one (1)on the weapons data tables. Handaxe and Warhammer both had point as optional in HM1 and HM3 has this changed under HMG or was this accidentally left off?

Players edition mentions Chivalric weapons under Combat 1, but does not inform you what these are and neither does the Weapon Data Tables. It does seem to be found in the GMs edition under a treasure table for weapons. I of course know which are Chivalric, but a new player or GM to Harn might find it useful if listed in Players edition on Combat tables.

Thank you for your time, I hope I was not too nitpicky.

-Greg

HMG Character Creation - Skills

When creating a new character, if the Occupational Skills table for Knight says 6 Weapons/shields to OML/OML+SB, what exactly does that mean? Assuming we are not using the optional Specialties rule, does that mean I can open: Shield, Longswords, Axes, Knives, Battleaxes, and Staves to OML+SB?

If we were to use the Specialties rule, does that change the above allocation or just the resulting percentages?

Condition and Endurance

Hi, I just have a quick question regarding Condition.

It seems to be used in several areas in place of the Endurance attribute. Does Condition take the place of Endurance in order to figure out Fatigue Rate or Encumbrance? I ask because Condition is used for carrying loads under the Carrying entry in the Glossdex, but HMG does not seem to apply it when a PC is carrying their normal load of items (weapons armor,etc.). Am I mistaken or is Fatigue Rate and Encumbrance areas where condition does not apply?

-Thanks

Weapon Notes

What do the Roman numerals next to the weapons on the weapon chart (HMG Player Edition - Weapon Data Table) mean? I noticed that in the Excel Spreadsheet provided with the HMG character profile, you can pick weapons with different types. Can someone point me to the explanation of these numerals in the HMG rules?

Harnmaster Gold Errata

Hi,Long time Harn gamemaster. I have been collecting material since 1983. Also I have ran a campaign or two. I have been in the process of getting a new campaign started up in Chelemby. I was rereading the newest Harnmaster Gold rules to refresh my memory, and I came across several errors of a fairly obvious nature. These should probably be corrected.

1. The weapon comparison table in the new edition is a mess. The chart is missing the tower shield column ( The column for kite shield is labelled tower shield). Also while you renumbered the defenses 1 through 4 instead of 0 through 3 nobody thought to change the attach defense classes on the weapon charts.

2. I just noticed that the rules for crosswinds are different on the chart and in the body of the text. On the chart it is a column shift (which is according to the text in the rules actually how you reflect a head or tailwind). In the text a crosswind over 1 is a -10xWF penalty to EML. This particular error was also in the old original Harnmaster Gold.

I looked around here and on Lythia and could not find anyone commenting on these errors. I find it hard to believe noone else has ever noticed this (especiaaly the mangled A/D chart.

Any possibility that Kelestia could make corrections to the chart pages?
