Beam of Solar

This spell does SIx2d3 damage on CS, SIx1d3 on MS. Does this mean (SIx2)d3 or SId3, or does it mean (SI)x(2d3) or (SI)x(1d3)?

Example: critical success, SI=10. 20d3, or 10x(2d3)? The range is 20 to 60 in both cases, but the increment is 1 in the first case and 10 in the second. Or it's late and I should be in bed. :-)

From the way it is written, I would say that the intention is that you roll one or two d3 and then multiply the result by SI. Having said that, I don't see much of a problem if your group decides that rolling SI(x2) three sided dice is preferable - or maybe even that that construction is simply a feature of the specific version of "Beam of Nolar" that one specific Shek-Pvar has developed. Spells, as with so much else in Kethira, are personal crafts rather than codified 'scientific' pieces of engineering; the style and form of them tends to vary with the practitioner.

Don't know how I missed that mis-spelling. :-(

Heh, no worries - that's just what the effect is called on the world of Terra!
